Scientific Abstract Submission Guidelines

Scientific Theme:

The Scientific Committee invites submissions on all aspects of nail science.

2. E-Poster Competition
Original Study
• Case Report / Case Series
All authors of the accepted posters are required to be present during the poster presentation session at the conference. Authors must prepare their posters using the official conference template.

3. Postgraduate Dissertation Award
Eligibility
• Open to postgraduate students who have submitted dissertation and delegates who have completed postgraduation within 2 years.
• The dissertation topic must be related to nail science.
• The participant must be a registered conference delegate.
Submission
Applicants must submit the complete dissertation in PDF format by the prescribed deadline.
Selection Process
All dissertations will be evaluated by an independent expert panel. One dissertation will be selected for the Postgraduate Dissertation Award by Nail Society of India
Final Presentation The shortlisted candidate will present the dissertation during the conference.
• Presentation: 15 minutes
• Discussion with judges
Award Cash Prize: ₹10,000 and a Certificate of Excellence awarded by Nail Society of India.

1. Eligibility
• Abstract submission is open only to registered conference delegates.
• Abstracts must be submitted exclusively through the official conference website.
• Each presenting author may submit a maximum of one Award Paper and one E-Poster.
• The same abstract may not be submitted in more than one category.

2. Originality
• Abstracts must represent original work.
• Award Paper submissions should not have received an award at any previous national or international scientific meeting.
• Any form of plagiarism, duplicate publication, or scientific misconduct will result in rejection.

3. Abstract Preparation
Word Limit
Maximum 250 words for poster and 300 words for award paper.
Title
• Use Sentence case.
• Keep the title brief and informative.
• Avoid abbreviations.

4. Abstract Structure
Original Study
Please use the following headings: • Background • Aims & Objectives • Materials & Methods • Results • Conclusions
Case Report / Case Series
Please use the following headings:
• Introduction
• Case Report / Case Series
• Discussion
Avoid statements such as "Results will be discussed" or "Further details will be presented." Only completed work should be submitted.
Do not include:
• Author names
• Institutional affiliations
• Tables
• Figures
• Graphs
• References
Any conflict of interest must be disclosed during submission.

5. Blinded Peer Review
To ensure impartial review:
• Do not mention the names of authors, institutions, hospitals, cities, or any other identifying information in the title or abstract.
• Author names and affiliations must be entered only in the designated online submission fields.

6. Ethical Requirements
Authors are responsible for ensuring that:
• Institutional Ethics Committee approval has been obtained wherever applicable.
• Appropriate written informed consent has been obtained for all patient photographs and clinical information.
• Patient confidentiality is maintained throughout the submission.
• All listed authors have reviewed and approved the submitted abstract.

7. Review Process
All abstracts will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee.
The Committee reserves the right to:
• Accept or reject any submission.
• Reassign an abstract to a more appropriate presentation category.
• Determine the final mode of presentation.
The decision of the Scientific Committee shall be final and binding.

8. Submission Policies
• The first (presenting) author will be the official correspondent for all communications.
• Please ensure that your email address and mobile number are accurate and active.
• Abstracts cannot be edited or modified after final submission.
• Non-compliance with the submission guidelines may result in rejection without review.
• By submitting an abstract, authors grant the Organizing Committee permission to publish the abstract in conference proceedings and related print or electronic publications.

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to modify the scientific programme if required.
Acceptance of an abstract does not include conference registration; all presenters must complete conference registration separately.
Only the registered presenting author may present the accepted abstract unless prior approval is obtained from the Scientific Committee.
Awards will be presented only to presenters attending the award session.
The decisions of the Scientific Committee and the panel of judges shall be final in all matters relating to abstract selection, presentation, and awards.

Entries: Each college may nominate a maximum of two teams comprising of two members in each team.
HOD Approval: Participation requires approval from the respective Head of Department (HOD). Teams must submit this approval along with their application.
Application Deadline: Applications must be submitted on or before 31^st October 2026.
Quiz Format: The quiz will consist of prelims followed by finals. Teams qualifying in the prelims will advance to the finals. Details of scoring, time limits, and qualification criteria will be communicated before the quiz commences.
Final Authority: The Quizmaster’s decision is final and binding on all participants.
